UL1439 Sharp Edge Tester – BONAD Safety Testing Equipment
Test principle:
Three layers of standard tape wrapped on the probe are slid over the test area or edge at a certain pressure and speed, and the edge sharpness is evaluated by whether the tape is cut. The edge sharpness is qualified only when the two layers of sensing tape are not cut at the same time.
Usage:
- Put the test head on the test head of the tester;
- After placing the pressure test head on the edge to be tested, immediately use a force of 0.68kg to move 2 inches along the edge to be tested, and then return to the starting point. The total moving distance is 4 inches;
- After the test, check the test head. If the outermost two layers (simulated skin) on the test head are scratched, it means that the test edge is a sharp edge.
