Applicable Standard and Test Principle
The equipment is designed for IPX3 and IPX4 water ingress testing in accordance with IEC 60529.
- IPX3 evaluates protection against spraying water.
- IPX4 evaluates protection against splashing water from different directions.
During testing, the specimen is positioned near the geometric center of the oscillating tube. Water is discharged through the spray holes while the tube moves according to the selected IPX3 or IPX4 test program. The PLC control system manages tube movement, test duration and turntable operation, while the water circuit allows the required flow rate to be monitored and adjusted.

When the swing pipe encounters resistance from the human body, it will return to its original position.

2.Stainless steel plate manufacturing:
The equipment shell and turntable are all made of SUS304# stainless steel plate, which will not rust after long-term use.

3.Prevent dry running due to lack of water
The water tank is equipped with a water level float valve, which can automatically control the water inlet and has a low water level alarm detection to prevent the water pump from running dry due to lack of water and damaging the equipment.

Is this an enclosed IPX3/IPX4 test chamber?
No. This is open-type rain test equipment without an enclosed chamber. It provides easier access for loading large specimens but requires a suitable waterproof test area with drainage.
What site conditions are required?
The installation area should provide adequate operating clearance, drainage, a suitable water supply and the required electrical connection. Site conditions should be confirmed before production.
